Make Your Own Moon Sand with Just 3 Ingredients!

Playing with Moon Sand couldn't be more fun and making it yourself couldn't be easier! With just 3 simple ingredients your kids will be playing with Moon Sand in no time!

All you need is:
10 Cups of sand (Home Depot sells a big bag of sand for under $4)
5 Cups of Cornstarch
1 Cup of Water

Combine the sand and cornstarch well and then mix in the water. The dough shouldn't be too wet, it should just be damp so that you can mold it.

  4. I'm planning crafts for my library's summer reading program and this year's theme is "Dig into Reading." Can Moon Sand be used to make permanent sculptures? Will it harden? I'm thinking sand castles. I'll definitely have to play around with this. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Connie, maybe if you try baking the sculptures in the oven. I tried to air dry our and the bottom molded before it had the chance to dry out. I would play around with it and try to bake it a bit to at least start the drying process. Glad to inspire :)
