These are the Japanese Emperor and Empress Peg Dolls I made for my little guy to add to his peg people collection. In the future, they will be added to a World Traveler sensory tote that I plan on putting together.
The fun never ends! It is always hectic here, but I have learned to embrace craziness! It takes a lot to keep my kids busy, but I do believe that I have that mastered! I like things tidy, but let's be honest, messy play is the best play! Crafting, Cooking, and Baking is what I like to do! This is a collection of the random things I do to keep my kids and myself busy and creative.

Little Red Riding Hood Pegs

My kids love these little peg people, so I am always experimenting and trying to make new ones to add to our collection. I made these Little Red Riding Hood peg people for a swap I participated in. They were pretty easy to make. I made the cape out of red felt and I used my new Infinity permanent markers color the body. For me, it is so much easier to color them than paint them! Now, I have to make one more for my kids. I do want to try to make the wolf to accompany her. I'll be sure to share how he comes out.
My Flower Fariy Pegs
I really enjoy making little wooden peg people almost as much as my kids enjoy playing with them. My biggest problem is that I cannot paint or draw to save my life, so I stick to what I know-- Felt! I found a pattern for these adorable Flower Fairies on WeeFolkArt.com. The wooden pegs come in multiple sizes and can be ordered online or picked up in most craft stores. I am positive that your kids will love playing with these as much as my kids do!

Peg Monkeys
I made these wooden peg monkeys to go with our Caps for Sale Literacy Basket. They were pretty easy to make, considering that I can draw or paint if my life depended on it. All I did was draw the face on with a thin black sharpie marker and then painted the rest of the peg brown. I painted a tail on the back after the brown paint dried.

Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus Peg Family
We are working on creating a New Testament Sensory tub. Peg Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus are the newest addition to our tote. I plan on making the Three Wise Men, the Shepard, and possibly an angel as well. I will be sure to post the completed project.

Wooden Bunnies
We are working on a book basket that includes activities and props to go along with Peter Rabbit. I am doing this with a group of women, we each make a few items and exchange. One of my contributions is a little wooden bunny. We couldn't just have one bunny for our basket, my kids decided that we had to have an entire bunny family! LOL Luckily, these little guys are super easy to make!
I picked up some wooden knobs and candle pots from AC Moore.
I used the glue gun to glue the knob to the bottom of the pot.
I cut ears out of white felt and hot glued them on.
The baby is just a small wooden bead with ears in a half of a walnut shell with a small piece of fabric for a blanket.
