YoYummy Yogurt Review

I was so excited when I got the opportunity from Moms Meet to review Green Mountain Creamery's YoYummy Yogurt Pouches because I am always looking for healthy snacks for my kids to eat and I thought this would be one that they would enjoy. The difference between Green Mountain Creamery's Yo Yummy Yogurt Pouches and other on the go yogurt's is that they are real yogurt in a pouch. Yo Yummy Yogurt pouches contain 10 % less sugar than other children's yogurts and contain real fruit and berries. They are kosher and gluten free, and do not contain high fructose corn syrup. Made with Grade-A rBST-free Vermont milk, they are a good source of calcium and rich in vitamin A and D.
I couldn't as for a healthier snack for my children when we are on the go!

Yo Yummy Yogurt pouches are sold by the individual pouch, in a 4 pouch pack and  in 12 pouch packs  and come in 4 delicious flavors. With Mixed Berry, Strawberry, Strawberry-Banana, and Cotton Candy, there is a flavor for everyone!

The yogurt pouches are convenient to take with you on the go and are served up in a way that limits the mess when you are home. They are easy to open, all you have to do is twist the lid off and you are ready to enjoy your yogurt. You can twist the lid back on to save any yogurt that is not eaten.

My son decided to try the Strawberry-Banana first...

He gave it  a thumbs up!

He decided that his favorite flavor is the Mixed Berry!

I love how the 12 pouch packs come with a tear away tray for easy storage in the refrigerator.

Green Mountain Creamery's Yo Yummy Yogurts are a hit in my house, not only are both of my boys enjoying them, but I am too. I will definitely be purchasing these regularly! We are enjoying them as a quick healthy snack when we are on the go and even when we are at home. I like them as a quick breakfast on my way out the door!
Get to the store and try Yo Yummy Yogurt Pouches for yourself!
YoYummy is available at Wegman’s, Costco, Hannaford, Stew Leonard’s, Fresh & Easy, and Sprout’s Farmer Markets.

Tek Recon Blasters Review

For those of you that don't know, Tek Recon is the newest kid on the block when it come to kid's blasters. Thanks to Tek Recon, my kids and I got to check them out. We were lucky enough to receive both the Hammer Head and the Havok blasters.  We were so excited when they arrived, I couldn't get them out of the box fast enough for my kids!

At first glance, the guns look absolutely awesome, I love the bright green and black! They look unlike any of the blasters that my kids have (with 2 boys and gun loving husband, we have a ton), totally in a good way! I love how unique and cool they look!
Tek Recon takes blasters to another level with high performance blasters combined with live online game play experience!

They include an add on stand to attach your smart phone for a truly unique gaming experience--  Just download the FREE Tek Recon "Live Action Online Gaming" app for your smart phone and simply connect your phone to the blaster to bring video game styled play to life through mobile and GPS technology. Tek Recon gets you off the couch, away from the games, and on the run! The app truly enhances your play experience!

The NRG rounds are specially designed for these blasters, they are small little rubbery oval rings that are coated in powder to keep them from sticking to each other. They can be fired safely up to 75 feet!  I love that the bullets do not leave any marks when they hit the walls, my kids leave enough marks on their own!

The Tek Recon Havok is the larger of the larger of the two blasters. It is a high performance semi-automatic blaster with real trigger and recoil barrel action, an adjustable shoulder stock, quick flip cartridge change, and it has a 72 round capacity.

The Tek Recon Hammer Head is the smaller blaster and is sold alone or in a two pack.  It features a functional trigger, real recoil kickback, rapid fire mode and a 25 round capacity. The Hammer Head was the perfect size for my almost 5 year old.

Either of the Tek Recon Blasters would make an excellent Christmas or birthday gift. Since we now have one of each, my boys asked Santa for another set so that the 4 of us can have an all out battle-- an opportunity to blast my boys and my husband?? I am all about it!!
My favorite thing about these blasters is how they get my kids excited to have some active fun and willingly turn off the television. Why play video games when you can live inside them with the Tek Recon Blasters?

RoseArt EXTREME Air Brush Studio Review

My kids and I were fortunate enough to receive a RoseArt EXTREME Air Brush Studio to do a review on. Boy, are we glad that we did! My youngest could not get it out of the box fast enough!
Even my oldest was excited to check it out! I get excited about anything that gets my kids to be creative while they have fun-- The RoseArt EXTREME Air Brush Studio delivers!

The EXTREME Air Brush Studio comes fully loaded with everything you need to make some awesome air brushed pictures-- Air Brush Caddy, Detachable Motorized Pump and Sprayer, 15 Markers, 5 Stencils, and Easy to Follow Instructions.
There was very little set up, we just needed to add 4 C batteries and we were ready to have some fun.

This is so easy to use, your child will be painting like a pro in no time!
Remove the lid off of any RoseArt SuperTip  marker and click it into the sprayer handle till you can't go any further, the tip will poke out a little.

Turn the motorized sprayer on and push the spray button to start airbrushing.

My son had a blast using the stencils to make a bunch of fun designs!
Rose Art recommends this studio for children 6 years of age and older, but
since the airbrush sprayer is battery operated, my 4 & 1/2 year old was able to operate the airbrush studio with little to no help. I LOVE that is motorized (and so does my arm!!), this is a huge advantage over it's competitor's model that you have to pump by hand.

My 12 year old enjoyed using it as well!
I love when toys and activities appeal to children of all ages, that is sometimes hard to come by since there is an 8 year difference between my kids!

He used the stencils to airbrush their names.

They thought it was so cool that they could turn paint with markers!
These were some of the designs they made using the stencils that came with the set.

I love the way everything stores together in the portable caddy!
My son called it a tool box for an artist!

After over 3 hours of creativity, my son (and his PJ's) packed it up.
I definitely will be picking up a few of these for kids on my Christmas list.

Head on over to Wal-Mart to get a RoseArt Extreme Airbrush Studio for your artist. The cost is normally around $20, but if you will be at Wal-Mart on Black Friday, they will be offering these for a very special price of $9.97!!  50% OFF!SCORE!!!  This studio is truly a steal at that price so be sure to get yours!

Check out this and other great Rose Art products at www.RoseArt.com

ONE STEP AT A TIME - Hugo the Happy Starfish - Children's E-Book Review

Hugo the Happy Starfish is the main character in a series of over 20 children’s E-Books written by Suzy Liebermann.  Each book in the series teaches your child valuable and necessary life lessons. I was fortunate enough to be given a free copy of One Step at a Time for my Tablet to review.  I was so excited to share this story with my preschooler. He really enjoyed it and was so happy "to have it to keep" on our tablet. We downloaded using our Kindle App, which is free in the App Store.

Hugo the Happy Starfish is eager to explore the world around him!  In One Step at a Time, Hugo sets off on an adventure with a set of instructions to follow to get him to his destination.  It is a story that shows that no matter how difficult the task is, we shouldn't give up, we should just take it one step at a time.

The bright illustrations and fun story-line will entertain your child and keep them smiling while teaching them a valuable  lesson about commitment!  This E-Book is appropriate to read aloud to young children as well as a read-alone book for early readers.

Check out Hugo's Books site for more information on the other books in the series and for FREE Games & Worksheets that go along with the stories.

Don't Judge a Book By It's Cover-- The UGLEE Pen Review

Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover...

We have all heard that, this pen makes that quote ring true!

I recently received three UGLEE pens to review, one which I will be giving away. My first thought was "WOW! It really fits the name, it is UGLY!" I will admit, as ugly as it was, I was still intrigued by it's title, "The World's Most Comfortable Ergonomic Pen." The UGLEE pen was designed and created by Doctor James Lee, after years of searching for a comfortable ergonomic pen.

The UGLEE Pen was designed for comfort and cramp free writing, it delivers. I used it to write my grandmother a letter. This day in age, how many people actually sit and write a letter? I honestly hadn't written a letter in years up till a few months ago. My grandmother recently had a stroke and is residing in a nursing home so that she can get the care and help that she needs, so I try to write her a letter every now and then to lift her spirits. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in my hand (from many years of competitive cheerleading) and I wrote a three page letter without my hand feeling fatigued, cramped, or strained. Whether you write all day or just minutes, you’ll be able to do so without cramping or strain.  It is extremely lightweight. The barrel of the pen is really squishy and soft and conforms to your fingers, making it very comfortable. The ink is very smooth, it writes a little wider then I am use to, but overall, I like it. Like I said, the pen is really not easy on the eyes, but it really is comfortable. Kind of like a beautiful pair of heels vs. that old broken pair of ratty gym sneakers-- nothing beats those old comfy sneakers!!

The UGLEE Facts:
  • Retractable
  • Sold in Packs of 3 for $19.99
  • They come in 7 barrel colors
  • Smooth black ink is standard
  • Refillable 1.4mm Ball Pen, ink refills are available in red, blue, & black.
  • Product has been featured on The Doctors television show
Check out their site at http://www.ugleepen.com/

PowerMyLearning.com Review

My kids and I are so excited to share this with our readers! I recently was made aware of this wonderful and very engaging educational website, PowerMyLearning-- It has become a fun part of our daily routine! Thanks to http://powermylearning.org/, a free non-profit website with everything Kindergarten-12th grade students need to get ahead academically! The site is home to hundreds of fun educational online games that are organized by grade level and subject. Many of the games incorporate characters and other fun things that your children know and love.

My youngest is 3 months shy of 5 years old and he cannot get enough of it! He will be entering kindergarten in September of 2014, so he is only in Pre-K, but there is so much for him to do! His favorite games are a series of Curious George games, that all work on different skills like number recognition, counting to ten, biggest to smallest, and addition. I cannot believe how easy it is for him to navigate and follow all of the games!  We have tried multiple educational websites that you have to pay for, in the end, I was not happy with the results. This website is completely FREE and I already have seen great results!

They even have a series of Sesame Street games!

My oldest is in 7th grade and he also found a ton of fun activities and games. He watched a PBS video called "The Clemente Effect," about Roberto Clemente the famous baseball player and humanitarian that he did a report on for school earlier this year. He really enjoyed all of the games that have to do with learning foreign languages.

I encourage you to head on over and check out http://powermylearning.org/ with your children now! You will be amazed at how much fun your children can have while they are learning!

Purex Fabric Softener Sheets Review

There is nothing like laundry fresh out of the dryer, it is nice and warm and smells amazing. It is always a happy night when I put fresh sheets on my bed and wash my comforter, I just sink into my bed and sniff myself to sleep! LOL Seriously, I love it!

I love being a Purex Insider and I love that they gave me the opportunity to review Purex fabric softener sheets. I was sent a box of Sweet Lavender sheets to try.

The sheets are so simple to use,  I just a sheet in the dryer on top of your clothes and turn the dryer on.
My clothes came out so soft and smelling fresh!
Purex Fabric Softener Sheets smell great, reduce static cling, and repel pet hair and lint.

Purex fabric softener sheets work great on my clothes, but they have so many other uses too! I love putting them in my drawers with my clothes for extra freshness. I like to tie them to the fan so that fan blows the fresh scent through the house. They are great at the bottom of the garbage can too! Soap scum on your shower walls? Try a dryer sheet to get it off!

ALL YOU Back to School Special Issue Review

I cannot believe it is that time of year already-- Back to School time! The summer flew by this year! Thanks to Crowdtap, I was given the opportunity to review the Back to School Special Issue of All You. I must say, it has been a huge help with starting of the school year right! It is filled with helpful hints to get organized, tips to help your child have a successful year, valuable coupons, and my favorite part, 26 tasty recipes! Some of my favorite recipes are from Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals-- who doesn't love a home cooked meal that tastes like you've been cooking all day, but only took you 30 minutes from start to table? With the kids back in school, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts starting back up, and afterschool activities, there is very little time to be spent in the kitchen. Well, this issue of All You has 10 20-minute meals!! WOW! I am so excited to try them all out! The first recipe I plan on trying is the Flank Steak with Salsa Verde. Sounds good, huh? You should see the picture!

One of my favorite articles from this issue, "Get Fit Together," talks about re-evaluating the way you and your family eat. It tells you which foods to eat and which to avoid. It also talks about portion sizes and how to shop healthy. It is a great article and I think everyone can take something from it.

I am glad I received this issue of All You and definitely plan on checking out the next issue!

20 Mule Team Borax Review

Recently, as a Purex Insider I was able to review a box of 20 Mule Team Borax. I was excited to try it out because I need all the help I can get with my house full of boys!  I decided to test it out on the most difficult load of laundry-- my husband's laundry! My husband works in heavy construction and takes pride in wearing his work! I'm talking concrete, dirt, and heavy duty epoxy!

I added the recommended 1/2 cup of Borax. I sprinkled the Borax into the soap dispenser along with my regular detergent and then let my washing machine and the Borax do their magic. When the clothes were done, I was amazed at how great they came out. Don't get me wrong, they were not spotless, but the only time his clothes were ever spotless was the day I brought them home from the store. This was the best they looked since the first day he wore them to work. I also noticed that not only did his clothes look better, but they smelled fresher too.

Amazed with the results of the first load, I tried 20 Mule Team Borax out on the next load. Our whites were up! I loaded them into the washer along with my laundry detergent and 20 Mule Team Borax and awaited the results. My whites looked absolutely fabulous and white! The grey stains that were originally left behind on my kid's white socks (Did I mention that my kids love to walk around our yard in their socks?) were gone! From this point on, 20 Mule Team Borax will always be found in my laundry room!

After researching 20 Mule Team Borax, I found that there are so many more uses for it! You can use it to clean your carpets, use it on pet bedding, to help with pest problems, and more! I have used Borax in the past to make some fun items too, like my rainbow slime. I plan on purchasing another box of 20 Mule Team Borax to use to make my own laundry detergent. It really is amazing how many uses it has!

Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care Review

One of the benefits of starting this blog was that I was able to become a Purex Insider. Being a part of the Purex Insider team is awesome! It allows me to try some of there newest products first. I recently got to try the new Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care! As soon as I clipped it onto the rim of my toilet, I fell in love with it! The Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet care has a great scent and is so powerful. It is a toilet cleaner and freshener that clips on to the rim of your toilet bowl and has 4 little cleaning balls that sit inside a plastic cage.   Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care lasts up to 4 weeks and is definitely a product that I will be purchasing every month for my bathrooms!
